Teachers, schools, clubs, and organizations should start 2025 with assignments, projects,  contests, competitions, pinning and patch opportunties with America 250 themes.  Include the National America 250 Essay theme, "What America Means to Me" as well as the very engaging topic "250 Year of..."

Develop lesson plans to encourage students to reflect on and discuss core values, ideals, and experiences that define the American identity. Prompt them to consider what these concepts mean to them personally. Create opportunities for discussions, writing prompts, and analysis, then assign an essay titled "What America Means to Me". Display the essays throughout the school, encourage students to submit their essays and their local, county and state fair.

Students of all ages can have fun researching how the United States has changed over the past 250 years. 

• Create "250 Years Of..." assignments for students  to research topics of their choice. Ideas include 250 years of technology   See long list of topic Ideas
• Students will then create hardcopy or e-presentations, timelines and dioramas  
• Display finished work: Can be around the school, have exhibitions, create schoolwide, countywide or statewide competitions

Coaches, group and club leaders should include America 250 topics and themes starting in 2025.  Develop oratory contests, pin / patch opportunities, and debate competitions around "What America Means to Me" and concepts from The Declaration of Independence. Great for Debate Clubs, Oratory Contests, 4-H, American Legion, Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts, Brownies and others.
