Local organizations including historical societies, civic groups and nonprofits can coordinate with educators and schools to create events, exhibits and displays of America 250-themed work. Creations by students and the general public need to be on display in museums and other public spaces in the year leading up to the 250 Anniversary on July 4, 2026.

As many state, county and local fairs are in the fall, 2025 is the year to include a new category for America 250 essays and poems.
